Research finds Acupuncture effective for the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).

Research has found Acupuncture effective for the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in a recent study of 70 female patients with the disease. During the trial, the 70 women were divided into two separate groups. Group 1 received Acupuncture treatment, while group 2 received herbal medicine treatment. The results showed that group 1 (Acupuncture) had a staggering 91.43% total effective rate, while group 2 (herbal medicine) had an impressive 74.29% total effective rate! Acute PID is usually treated with either surgery or anti-biotics; however, when it comes to chronic PID it is often found that anti-biotics and surgery do not help with the symptoms.
